Cranberry Bourbon Wings
Sweet and Savory the perfect combination in one bite! Seasoned in our Cock-A-Doodle Brew Rub, cooked to perfection and then brushed on with Bourbon Cranberry sauce will have your mouth watering and wanting more!
3 Lbs – Wings
1 T – Olive Oil
2 T – Cock-A-Doodle Brew - Beer Can Chicken Rub
1 ½ C – Cranberries
1/3 C – Sugar
½ C – Water
1 ½ Oz - Bourbon
Preheat oven to 375 degrees on convection setting. (400 degrees conventional)
Rinse the wings and pat them dry with a paper towel.
Toss the wings in olive oil and Cock-A-Doodle Brew rub until evenly coated.
Lay the wings flat on a rack lined sheet tray and place in the oven for an hour and 15 minutes, flipping ½ way through the cook.
While the wings are cooking, in a medium saucepan combine the cranberries, sugar and water.
Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the cranberries are very tender.
Use an immersion blender to puree the sauce.
Return to heat and simmer to reduce by 25%.
Add bourbon and simmer for 5 minutes, remove from heat.
Brush the cooked wing generously with the cranberry sauce and return to the oven for 5 minutes to tack on the sauce.
Serve hot and enjoy!
