Umami Butter Smash Burger Sliders

Ingredients

  • 3 LB – Ground Beef
  • 2 TB – Umami Butter Burger Blend
  • 12 – Slider Buns (or King’s Hawaiian Rolls)
  • 1 – Onion
  • 2 TB – Butter or Cooking Oil
  • 24 Slice – American Cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat griddle or flattop to 350 degrees.
  2. Form the ground beef into 2 oz meatballs (24 of them.)

  3. Thinly slice the onion.
  4. Toss the onion on the flattop and add cooking oil.
  5. Cook, stirring and tossing occasionally until they are caramelized to your liking.
  6. Remove the onions and set aside.
  7. Keeping the pack intact, slice the slider buns in half. Place both the top and the bottom on the flattop to toast for about 2 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  8. Place a few of the meatballs on the flattop and smash with a burger press until they are about 1/8” thick. Season with Umami Butter.
  9. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the meat is caramelized.
  10. Flip the burgers and immediately top with a slice of American cheese. Melt for 30 seconds.
  11. Remove the burgers from the flattop and start layering them onto the bottom buns.
  12. Repeat the process until all the meatballs are cooked and laid out on the buns.
  13. Top the burgers with the caramelized onion and finish by topping with the top buns.
  14. Serve as pull apart burger sliders or cut into individual sliders.
  15. Enjoy!
