Blackened fish is fish cooked using "blackening" cooking technique, meaning it is coated in a special blackened seasoning blend making the fish dark brown, and almost black when grilled until crispy.

How to make blackened salmon?
Making blackened salmon is very easy. With only 2 minute preparation time and 8 minutes cooking, your very own blackened salmon will be in your plate as quick as you can say "blackened fish".
Here's how to make blackened salmon:
Tender filets of salmon coated in a full-flavored homemade blackened seasoning and seared to perfection.
2 Filets Salmon
2 T Olive Oil
1 Bunch Asparagus
1/2 Cup Notorious P.I.G.
1/2 tsp Cayenne
1/2 tsp Dried Thyme
1/2 tsp Dried Oregano
1/2 tsp Dried Basil
Stir all ingredients for the blackened seasoning together in a bowl until well combined.
Preheat flattop or skillet over high heat.
Season the salmon very generously with the blackened seasoning, it should create a crust on the outside of the fish
Add 1 TB oil to the skillet and place the fish serve side down. Cook for 3-4 minutes and then flip.
Cook for an additional 4 minutes.
While the salmon is cooking, oil and season the asparagus with BBQ General SPG or salt and pepper to taste.
Place the salmon on the flattop or in the skillet with the salmon to cook for 3-5 minutes, turning occasionally.
Serve the salmon on a bed of asparagus with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
