The flavors of Beer Can Chicken bottled up into a dry rub, this malty blend has a base of salt, sugar and honey mixed with garlic, beer, hickory smoke and some parsley for an herby finish.  We like this blend on chicken and pork, but it can pair with beef and fish as well. A few of our favorite uses are:

Flavor Profile
 

No. 102 has a malty, savory profile that's specifically made to mimic the flavor of beer can chicken. Other than its base of sugar and salt, this rub has: 

Honey Granules: This rub starts with sweet and distinct taste of honey in granulated form. Granulated honey is made with co-crystallization of refinery syrup and liquid honey, then breaking the sweet dried crystals into fine granules.

Natural Beer Flavor: The distinguishing malty flavor is the perfect pairing for beef, pork, venison, veal, or any other meat you mix it with.

Parsley: While not a strong flavor profile, parsley adds a subtle herby flavor and great color and texture to this blend. 

Celery Seed:  Similar to raw celery, celery seed has an earthy flavor that balances out the sweetness and adds savory depth to this blend. 

Hickory Smoke: Hickory smoked has a bold bacon-like flavor that brings sweet and savory together to compliment a wide variety of meats.

Recipes

No. 102's sweet and malty flavors make it a great rub for any kind of meat, but poultry is king. The fine granulation of this rub melts into the skin, creating a sweet and irresistibly crispy crust. Try it on whole chickens, wings, thighs, breasts or your favorite fowl. 



Beer Can Chicken 

This recipe proves that beer is good for more than just drinking. Pick your favorite IPA and stuff it inside the cavity of your chicken. The beer steams on the grill and adds moisture to the chicken, while our beer-infused Cock-a-Doodle-Brew Rub adds even more frothy beer flavor to the skin as it crisps. Cheers!
 

Chicken Lollipops

The ultimate handheld meat treat, these Chicken Lollipops are the perfect appetizer for your next BBQ. Chicken drumsticks are trimmed right at the bone joint and the meat is slid up to form a handheld meat lollipop.

In this version, we trimmed the drumsticks then dipped them in our sweet and savory Cock-a-Doodle Brew Beer Can Chicken rub, filled with sweet honey granules, beer, and herbs. The lollipops are grilled until crisp and golden.
