Old Fashioned with Bacon Bourbon
Call me Old Fashioned! We are sweeting the deal on this Old Fashioned with Bacon Bourbon. Grab a chilled glass for a pour of smooth bacon infused bourbon with tangy On The Rocks blood orange pepper and top it off with a sweet Maraschino cherry! This happy hour might last all night!
1 Bottle Bourbon
12 Oz Bacon
2 Oz Bacon Bourbon
2 Dash- Orange Bitters
1 Slice- Orange Rind
1 Maraschino Cherry
1 t Blood Orange Juice
2 Twists On The Rocks Bourbon Pepper
2 Oz Sprite
Chop bacon into ½” pieces and sauté until crispy.
Strain the rendered fat into a metal bowl. Allow to cool for 5 minutes.
Pour the bourbon into the bowl and whisk for 2-3 minutes.
Allow to sit at room temperature for 2 hours and then place it in the freezer for 24 hours.
Strain bourbon through a cheese cloth or coffee filter.
In a rocks glass, place the orange rind, cherry, sugar, bitters and blood orange juice. Muddle.
Add bourbon and On The Rocks Bourbon Pepper. Stir gently
Add ice and top with Sprite.
