Memphis King BBQ Chicken Texas Toast

Ingredients

  • 3 LB – Chicken Thighs (Boneless/Skinless)

  • 6 TB – Cock-A-Doodle Brew Beer Can Chicken Rub

  • 2 Cup – Chicken Broth

  • 1 piece - Texas Toast

  • 3 TB – Memphis King BBQ Sauce

  • 1 TB – Red Onion, shaved thin

  • ¼ Cup – Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Directions

  1. Trim the chicken thighs as needed and place in the slow cooker. Add Cock-A-Doodle Brew rub and chicken broth. Mix and set to high.

  2. Cook for 4 hours until the chicken is easily shredded.

  3. Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred with forks.

  4. Place in a container and into the fridge to cool and for later use.

  5. Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees.

  6. Place a piece of Texas toast in the air fryer for 2 minutes.

  7. Remove and add ½ cup of the shredded chicken to the toast.

  8. Drizzle with Memphis King BBQ Sauce.

  9. Add shaved onions (if desired).

  10. Finish with shredded cheddar cheese and place back in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes.

  11. Remove, allow to cool for 3-4 minutes and enjoy!
