Fact- It is possible for nachos to go to the next level! We made a few tweaks your mouth will be drooling over. On a bed of crisp pretzel chips we added a German flair! Ground brat meat, sauerkraut, creamy beer cheese sauce and Bier Hall mustard! Bet you can’t wait to dig into this plate.
1 1/2 C Heavy Cream
1 C Swiss Cheese- Shredded
3 Oz Beer
2 T Canola Oil
2 T Flour
3 C Pretzel Chips
2 T Butter
1/2 C Sauerkraut
1/2 C Bier Hall Mustard
Julienne the onion and caramelize in a sauté pan with 2 TB butter over low heat. Stir often. (This will take a while)
In a sauce pan, bring the heavy cream up to a boil and then lower the heat to maintain a low simmer. Stir in the Swiss cheese and beer.
If needed, stir together the flour and oil and add to the cheese sauce to adjust thickness.
Remove the meat from the brat casings and sauté. (like you would ground beef)
To build the nachos, place the pretzel chips down on a tray. Pour the cheese sauce over the pretzels and then top with sauerkraut, caramelized onions, cooked bratwurst and a drizzle of Bier Hall mustard.
