If you’re looking for the best grilled chicken wings recipe for game day, tailgating, or backyard BBQs, you’ve found it. These crispy grilled chicken wings are a healthier alternative to fried wings, with perfectly caramelized skin and juicy meat. Whether you’re firing up a charcoal grill or using a gas grill, this no-fail method delivers wings that are tender on the inside and smoky on the outside.

Ingredients
-
2.5 lbs Chicken Wings, flats and drumettes, separated
-
2 T Vegetable Oil
-
1 T Kosher Salt or seasoning rub - we recommend Cock-A-Doodle Brew Beer Can Chicken Rub
-
1 Cup Hot Honey Bee Sting Chipotle BBQ Sauce
Directions
Fire up your grill and set the temperature to 350°F. If you’re using a gas or charcoal grill, set it up for medium heat.
While the grill is preheating, pat your chicken wings dry with paper towels. This step is key for achieving that crispy skin. Toss the wings with vegetable oil and your choice of seasoning rub — smoky, spicy, or sweet, depending on your flavor adventure.
Once the grill is up to temperature, Place wings directly on the grill grates and cook for 25–30 minutes, flipping occasionally, until the internal temperature reaches 175°F. Wings should be golden brown with slightly charred edges.
Remove wings from the grill and toss with our Honey Chipotle BBQ Sauce for a sticky, sweet-heat finish.
