A creamy, decadent mac and cheese complete with cream cheese and a crunchy Everything Bagel topping.
Everything Bagel Mac & Cheese

16 oz | Macaroni Noodles, uncooked |
1/4 cup | Butter |
1/4 cup | Flour |
3 cups |
Milk |
3 cups | White Cheddar, shredded |
8 oz | Cream Cheese, cubed |
2 tsp | Open Sesame Everything Bagel |
Pepper | |
1 T | Butter, melted |
2 T | Open Sesame Everything Bagel |
3/4 cup | Breadcumbs or Bagel Crisps |
Green Onion (garnish) |
Instructions:

Make noodles as directed on package, strain and set aside.

Cut cream cheese into cubes and set aside. Grate cheese if not using shredded.

Melt ¼ Cup of butter in saucepan on medium continuously stirring then add Open Sesame and pepper and flour to melted butter until it turns into a paste.

Slowly add milk to mixture and keep stirring for 5 minutes until thickens.

When mixture reaches a gentle boil after 5 minutes reduce heat to low and add in cheese and cream cheese, stirring until fully combined.

In the noodle pot combine noodles and cheese mixture until smooth. Pour into a large sized cast iron or baking dish.

To make Topping: in microwave safe dish first melt 1 T butter, then add breadcrumbs and Open Sesame and mix together.

Add topping to Mac ‘N’ Cheese and turn oven to Low broil for 1-2 minutes until it is lightly toasted. Finish with green onions (optional)
Tips: Cube Cream cheese while cold and then let soften. Bringing milk to room temp prior to starting will allow for ease in mixing. We recommend grated cheese over shredded but will work.
