Cherry Bomb Cookies
These Cherry Bomb Cookies start with the foundation of a classic chocolate chip cookie, then take on new character with the addition of PS Seasoning Cherry Bomb BBQ Sauce. The sauce blends smoothly into the dough, adding warm spice, subtle smoke, and a rich cherry sweetness that complements the chocolate and dried fruit. The cookies bake up soft in the center, lightly crisp on the edges, and full of caramelized flavor from the first bite.
This recipe was created by Cherry Bomb fan Heather Vaughn, who shared her cookie idea as a way to showcase just how versatile this sauce can be outside the grill.

As Heather puts it, “No one will guess these cookies have barbecue sauce in them, unless you tell them… and you absolutely should, because it will blow their minds.”

Ingredients
1 ½ Cup – Butter (3 Sticks)
½ Cup – Cherry Bomb BBQ Sauce
2 Cup – Sugar
2 – Eggs
4 Cups – All Purpose Flour
4 tsp – Baking Soda
1 tsp – Ground Cinnamon
1 tsp – Ground Ginger
1 tsp – Ground Clove
1 Cup – Dried Cherries
1 Cup – Chocolate Chips
1 Cup – Sugar – For rolling
Directions
Melt the butter in a saucepan and set aside to cool slightly—it should be melted but not hot.
In a stand mixer, combine the melted butter, 2 cups of sugar, PS Seasoning Cherry Bomb BBQ Sauce, and eggs. Beat until smooth and well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, and clove.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the mixer and mix on low speed until a soft dough forms.
Fold in the dried cherries and chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Cover and refrigerate the dough for at least 2 hours to chill completely.
Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Scoop the dough into 1½-ounce balls (about 2 tablespoons each). Roll each ball in sugar to coat, then place on the prepared baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10–13 minutes, or until the cookies have just settled and the edges are lightly golden.
Let cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely for 10–15 minutes.
Enjoy these warm, chewy Cherry Bomb Cookies packed with rich cherry flavor and a hint of BBQ spice.
