If a cheese ball is your go-to holiday app, this loaded version will kick things up a notch (or two). Smoked cream cheese is blended with jalapenos, bacon, green onion and cheddar then rolled in more bacon.
Ingredients
- 8 oz – Cream Cheese
- 2 tsp – Bacon Bomb
- 6 oz – Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
- 1 – Jalapeno, small dice
- 12 oz - Bacon
Directions
- Preheat smoker to 225 degrees.
- Place the cream cheese in a foil pan or boat and crosshatch the top with a knife.
- Season the cream cheese with Bacon Bomb and then place on the smoker.
- Smoke for 45 minutes until the cream cheese is softened.
- While the cream cheese is smoking, dice the bacon and place it in a pan.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally to render until crispy.
- Drain off excess fat.
- Remove the cream cheese from the smoker and place it in a mixing bowl.
- Add in the shredded cheddar cheese and diced jalapeno. Mix until well combined.
- Place the rendered bacon bits in a bowl.
- Form the cheese mixture into a ball and then roll it in the bacon bit until fully coated on the outside.
- Plate the cheese ball and garnish with more shredded cheese and diced green onion.
- Serve with crackers or pretzels and enjoy!
