Apple Pecan Pie
Just in time for the holiday season. An all-time favorite, Pecan Pie with a bonus flavor! That’s right, this traditional also has apples in it for added fall flare! Each bite is way too good!
1 Pie Crust
1 1/2 C Corn Syrup
1 C Sugar
1 T Molassas
1/2 t Vanilla
1 1/2 T Apple Pie Cinnamon Spice Rub
4 T Butter
1 t Cornstarch
1 1/2 C Pecans- Halves or Pieces
In a saucepan, bring the corn syrup, sugar and molasses to a boil. Reduce heat to a low and simmer for 4-5minutes until solids are dissolved and the liquid is smooth. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
Peel, core and dice the apples.
Place in a microwave safe bowl and place in the microwave for 1:30.
Remove from the microwave and stir together with cornstarch.
Whisk together the vanilla, apple pie rub and vanilla.
While whisking, slowly add the corn syrup mixture until fully combined.
Roll out pie crust and place in a deep 9” pie pan. Cut off excess crust along the edge.
Place the cooked apples in the bottom of the pie shell and spread evenly.
Stir in the butter and pecans into the corn syrup mixture until the butter is melted.
Pour over the apples.
Place in a 350-degree oven for 45-60 minutes or until the pie is fully set.
Allow to cool fully before cutting and enjoying!
