Fried Pickle and Smash Burger

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Fried Pickle: Drain the pickles in a strainer and place in a bowl. Add buttermilk and gentle stir to distribute. Allow to sit for 1 hour.

  2. Preheat fryer to 350 degrees.

  3. Combine flour, cornmeal and multitool in a bowl and mix well.

  4. Take a small handful of pickles out of the buttermilk and allow to drip dry for a few seconds, and then place them in the flour mixture. Shake to coat well. Place in a sifter and shake to eliminate excess breading.

  5. Place in the fryer, and gently shake the basket to avoid sticking.

  6. Fry for 5-8 minutes, or until crispy.

  7. Allow to drip dry in the basket for 2 minutes and then place the fried pickles on a paper towel lined plate to soak up excess oil.

  8. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce!

  9. Smash Burger: Preheat your griddle or flat top to 350 degrees.

  10. Divide the ground beef into 8 and leave them in meatball form.

  11. Pleace the balls on the griddle and use a burger press to flatten them into burger sized patties.

  12. Season generously with Better Burger.

  13. Cook The patties thoroughly flipping once.

  14. Just before the burgers are finished, top with cheese and melt.

  15. Place the burger buns on the flat top to toast gently . (No need for butter, there will be plenty of grease on the griddle already)

  16. Build the burgers and serve with your favorite sides.
