Salisbury Steak Sliders

Ingredients

  • 2 LB – Ground Beef

  • 1 – Egg

  • ½ C – Breadcrumbs

  • 3 t – Chop Shop Steak Seasoning

  • 2 – Onions, julienned

  • 4 T – Butter

  • 3 T – Flour

  • 2 C – Beef Broth

  • ¼ C – Red Wine

  • 8 Slice – Provolone Cheese

  • 12 Pack – Slider Buns

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs and Chop Shop Seasoning. Mix well by hand until well combined.
  2. Break the meat into 4 equal balls and then form them into rectangle patties, about 4” X 6”.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium high heat and sear off the patties. You don’t need to cook them fully, just a sear.
  4. Add the butter and onions to the pan and cook until the onions are soft and well browned.
  5. Add flour to the pan and stir to make the roux. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Slowly, while stirring, add the beef broth.
  7. Bring to a simmer and the sauce should thicken. Add red wine for flavor.
  8. Add the meat back to the pan and cook until the meat reaches and internal temperature of 155 degrees.
  9. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  10. Without breaking them apart, cut the slider buns in half into top and bottom buns. Place the bottom buns on a parchment lined tray.
  11. Lay out 4 slices of cheese on the bottom buns and then arrange the meat on top.
  12. Top the meat with more cheese and scoop some of the onions out of the sauce to spread on top of the cheese.
  13. Replace the top buns.
  14. Place in the oven for 20-25 minutes until the top buns are slightly browned.
  15. Cut the sliders apart and dip in the remaining sauce.
  16. Enjoy!
