Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat fryer or deep pan with vegetable or peanut oil to 350 degrees F

  2. Pat the fish dry with paper towel and then cut into 2” cubes.
  3. Mix the flour, 3 TB Spicy Dill Pickle Wing Rub, baking powder and baking soda together in a bowl.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
  5. Dredge the cod bites, a few at a time, in the flour mixture and then place them in the milk.
  6. Dredge again in the flour mixture and then set aside. Bread the remaining fish.
  7. Fry the fish for 5-8 minutes until fully cooked and golden brown.
  8. While the fish is frying, combine the mayo, diced pickle, chopped capers, lemon juice and 1 TB Spicy Dill Pickle Wing Rub to make your tartar sauce.
  9. Once the fish is done frying place on a paper towel lined tray to dry for 3-5 minutes before serving.
