Our high-quality natural hog casings make tender, juicy sausages that have the perfect "snap" when you bite into them. Ideal for the home sausage maker crafting smaller batches, our Home Pack comes with easy to follow instructions.

Natural hog casings are perfect for making brats, kielbasa, polish, rope sausage, and more. Each package contains at least 50 ft of salted casing that will stuff 20-25 lbs. 


  • 32-35 mm diameter (1 1/4" - 1 1/2")
  • Stuffs 20-25 lbs. per package
  • Great for large brats, Italian sausage, and rope sausage
  • Salted, must be flushed thoroughly before stuffing
  • Soak 60-80 minutes in hot water before using
  • Shelf life in refrigerator: 4-6 months
  • Shelf life in freezer: 1 year

  1. Untangle casings and remove necessary amount. Place remaining casings back into package and store in refrigerator or freezer. 
  2. Rinse Salt from Casings
  3. Soak casings in fresh WARM water for 40-50 minutes
  4. Soak casings again in fresh WARM water (90°F) for 30-40 minutes
  5. Find end of casing, open and load onto stuffing horn.

    Solid product

    First time making bratwurst. Casings worked well. God instructions. Easy once you get the hang of it. Bratwurst turned out excellent with the seasoning. Can’t wait to try some more.

    Natural Hog Casings

    I've been using these casings for many years. They work great for me because I like to make smaller batches and make stuff more often. I can just use what I need and put the rest back in the fridge. Easy to put on the stuffer and fill very nicely. I use them for various brats, Italian, polish, andouille and wild rice breakfast. No off flavors from the casings. Make sure you follow the directions and give yourself plenty of time to rinse and soak. Only drawback is that they can be difficult to separate.

    These dried casing work great and won't split during the stuffing process like some others I have tried. They also store well and come in usable lengths instead of one long casing.Tjey have that crunch pop when you bite into one after cooking also!
