Its easy to love burgers but this Tailgater Brat Burger is a homerun! On deck....how about another brat burger!
4-8 Oz Brat Patties
2 T The Tailgater Ballpark Blend
1 Large Yellow Onion
1 Cup Beer (ale)
1 T Cock-A-Doodle Brew
2 T Butter
1 Cup Sauerkraut
1/2 Cup Brown Mustard (stone ground, Dusseldorf, Dijon)
4 Pretzel Burger Buns
Julienne the onions. In a sauté the onions in butter over medium heat. When the onions are just starting to brown, add the Cock-A-Doodle Brew seasoning and the beer. Lower the heat to medium low and cook until the beer is almost completely gone, stirring occasionally.
On a high heat grill, season the brat patties and cook until fully done, or when they reach an internal temp of 155 degrees. You will need to rotate the patties a few times so that they do not burn.
Lightly toast the pretzel buns on the grill before building the sandwich.
For set up, on the bottom bun place the sautéed onions, and place the brat patty on top. Finish with a drizzle of brown mustard and sauerkraut.
