Ingredients
-
1 LB – Bacon (Not thick cut)
-
12 oz – Smoked Sausage
-
8 oz – Cream Cheese, softened
-
8 oz – Cremini Mushrooms
-
1 TB – Umami Butter Burger Seasoning
Directions
Remove 4 mushroom caps and cut into 1/4s, set aside.
Mince the remaining mushrooms and place in a sauté pan with 1 TB olive oil.
Cook over medium high heat for 7-8 minutes until most of the moisture has dissipated.
Allow to cool.
Combine the cream cheese, cooked mushrooms and Umami Butter seasoning together and mix well.
Cut the sausage into coins, about ¾” thick.
Wrap a piece of bacon around each coin, keeping the sausage to one side of the bacon. Secure with a toothpick. This should look like a shot glass.
Fill the pig shots ¾ full with the mushroom and cream cheese mixture.
Set the pig shots on a rack lined tray
Preheat smoker or oven to 350 degrees.
Place the pig shots in the oven to cook for 45 minutes.
Place a ¼ piece of mushroom cap into the top if each pig shot and return to the oven.
Cook an additional 15 minutes until the bacon is cooked to your liking.
Rest 10 minutes before serving.
Enjoy!
