Whole Wheat Flour
Whole what flour (wholemeal flour) is derived from the whole grain of wheat that has been ground or mashed. Because whole wheat flour can sometimes cause "heaviness" in baked items, it is often mixed with a lighter white flour to make higher rising dough. It also helps to maintain nutrients not found in white flours like calcium, iron and fiber.
