Cloves (Syzygium aromaticum) are the fruit of a tree belonging to the evergreen family. The flower buds are dried to a rich dark brown and dusky red color. Whole cloves are used as a flavoring for many dishes to give a subtle sweet and spicy taste.
*Always be sure to remove whole cloves from liquids & foods before serving.

- In pickling spice
- Soup stock
- Poke into ham & pork for flavor while cooking
- Meat gravies
- Punch drinks
