Standing Rib Roast


6 lb Bone in Standing Rib Roast
4 T California Garlic Pepper
4 T Italian Seasoning Blend
4 T Salt
4 T Pepper
4 T Rosemary, dried
1 Onion, sliced
1 Garlic, chopped


1) Create a dry rub with California Garlic Pepper, Italian Seasoning Blend, salt, pepper and dried rosemary and rub on Standing Rib Roast.

2) Sear on high heat in an oven safe pan on all sides until crust is formed.

3) Cook in 280° oven uncovered for 4 1/2 hours.

4) Cook until internal temperature is at 130° for medium rare.

5) Add sliced onion and garlic at the bottom of the roasting pan for added flavor.
