Asian-Style Pork Burgers

Because burgers are good for the Seoul, we loaded up these Asian-style pork patties with ginger, cilantro, sesame, shiitake mushrooms, then slathered them in a spicy and tangy miso-chili sauce. 

Asian-Style Pork Burgers

Cook time: 10 minutes
Serves: 4


1 1/2 lbs.  Ground Pork
1 1/2 T Seoul Train Sesame Citrus 
2 T Yellow Onion, grated
1 1/2 tsp Ginger, grated
1 T

Cilantro, chopped

1 T Chili Paste 
1 T Sesame Oil 
1 T Yellow Onion, grated
1/2 T Lemon Juice
1/2 T  Lime Juice
1/2 T  Rice Vinegar
1/2 T  Tahini
3/4 tsp  Miso 
3/4 tsp Seoul Train Sesame Citrus 
Sesame Buns
Green or Bibb Lettuce Leaves
3 1/2 oz.  Shiitake Mushrooms, sauteed
2 Scallions, sliced
1 tsp Sesame Seeds, toasted
Lemon & Lime Wedges



  1. Place ground pork, Seoul Train, onion, ginger, and cilantro in a mixing bowl. Mix gently to incorporate, then form into 4 patties. Pressing an indent into the middle of each patty. Set aside.

  2. Heat grill or a cast iron skillet over medium heat/flame, then add sesame oil. Cook pork patties 3 minutes per side, then remove burgers from the skillet and rest for 5 minutes.

  3. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine chili paste, sesame oil, onion, lemon juice, lime juice, rice vinegar, tahini, miso, and Seoul Train. Set aside.

  4. Assemble the burgers: bottom bun, lettuce, pork burger patty, sauce, sautéed mushrooms, scallions, toasted sesame seeds, top bun.
