Gluten-Free Baked Panko Green Beans w/ Tomato Basil Bacon Yogurt Dip

A disservice is done to meals everywhere when we limit ourselves to meal after meal of fried potatoes. Make no mistake, french fries are delicious, but when it becomes our one trick pony, the only side offered for any kind of patio fare or quick weeknight meal, we’re limiting ourselves unnecessarily.
These green bean fries are a great alternative to traditional fries, while also being gluten-free. Their crisp panko exterior adds crunch and contrast to the green beans, and it’s a fresh take on a traditional side. They pair well with grillables, and their finger-food nature makes them kid-friendly too.
|Green Bean Ingredients:|
|1 1/2 Cups||Gluten-Free Rice Panko Breading|
|1/2 Tsp||Sea Salt|
|1/4 Tsp||Granulated Garlic|
|1/4 Tsp||Black Pepper, Tellicherry, Grounded|
|1 Large||Egg, Beaten|
|1 Tsp||Neutral Oil (Grapeseed or Vegetable)|
|1 Pound||Trimmed Fresh Green Beans|
|1/4 Cup||Plain Greek Yogurt|
|1 Tbsp||Tomato Bacon Basil Seasoning|
1) Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a rimed baking sheet with parchment paper. Spray or brush lightly with olive oil.
3) In a shallow bowl, beat together the egg and oil. Run each green bean through the egg mixture, and then coat with the panko breading before, turning them over until covered in breading.
4) Place on the baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 10 minutes. Flip and continue baking for 4-5 more minutes until crisp. Remove from oven.
5) While the green beans are baking, make the dip. Combine the mayonnaise, yogurt, and the seasoning and mix. Test and adjust level of bacon seasoning as desired. Serve with warm green beans.
