Sweet Corn Around the World: A Cob of Many Flavors

Adapting to every culture, corn is a popular vegetable that is grown in every country except Antarctica.  Each culture adds its individual twist to make it their own and we love to try every one.  No matter which take or style, there is one thing they all have in common: Grilling!

Just in time for summer, here are 6 international sweet corn recipes from all over the world:

mexican Corn

Mexican Corn:

Mix together: mayonnaise, PS Seasoning Mexican Seasoning and garlic and shallot seasoning. Remove corn from the grill and brush with the mayonnaise spice mixture.  Serve with lime wedges (optional)

 

Caribbean Corn

Caribbean Corn:

Once corn is removed from the grill, lightly coat in butter.  Sprinkle with parmesan cheese, fresh parsley and serve with a Caribbean Aoili. Caribbean Aoili: 1 cup mayonnaise, 2 teaspoons of PS Seasoning El Capitan Chili Citrus Seasoning, 2 minced garlic cloves and 2 tablespoons of Chopped Chives.

 

Italian Corn

Italian Corn:

Simply remove corn from the grill, lightly brush with olive oil and add PS Seasoning Italian Seasoning and PS Seasoning Garlic Salt.

 

Cambodian Corn

Cambodia Corn:

Combine 1 cup of unsweetened coconut milk (shake can before opening) with PS Seasoning Apple Pie Cinnamon Spice Blend, bay leaves and salt. Remove ears from the grill and baste several times with the coconut mixture.
 
Thailand Corn

Thailand Corn:

In a small dish, mix 1 stick of softened butter, 1/2 tablespoon of PS Seasoning sweet red chili sauce, fresh cilantro, lime juice and garlic.  Once removed from the grill, coat with Sriracha butter mixture and serve with a side of Sriracha (optional).
 
American Corn

American Corn:

In a medium sized frying pan, cook bacon until its crisp and crumbly.  Grill ears of corn and remove from heat.  Coat with mixture including: 1 stick of softened butter, 1 tablespoon of PS Seasoning Bacon Bomb Jalapeno Hickory.  Top with minced green onions and crumbled bacon.
