I love jerky and finally got tired of trying to slice thin slices to cut strips from beef to marinade, season and dehydrate. This is a really awsome kit. Don\'t let it fool you. This kit is meant to last a long time. The wood board is really nicely put together. The corners are all nicely even and squared. None of those \'staples\' in the corners to quickly put together. One side of the slicing board gives thicker cuts and the other side gives thinner cuts. The knife that comes with this kit is a beautiful solid \'one piece\' high quality work of art. Keep in mind if you get this, the knife is razor sharp and will hold an edge great. The knife comes with a thick cardboard sheath for protection which was a nice touch. You get a wooden divider that fits perfectly in either side of your slicing board to hold any fruits, veggies or smaller cuts of meat down that you can\'t hold with your hand. Example, apple slices going into your dehydrator. This kit also comes with a full size package of Hi Mountain brand \'original\' jerky flavor and cure and also a bottle of Hi Mountain Western Sizzle steak seasoning which I haven\'t tried yet but can\'t wait to. When you first get, it is advised to lightly wipe down with alittle mineral oil. ~Enjoy!
